Cross Platform

Right now, PorMMo can do none of the things that I promised you it will. So what is in the GitHub repository? A program that uses vlcj to take screenshots of videos. vlcj is a software that lets us embed a vlc player into a Java program.

This simple program is great news for PorMMo. It means that we can proceed with our project using Java as our programming language. Using Java as our programming will mean that our program will run on any machine that runs Java, be it Windows, Mac, or Linux.

That's cross platform compatibility, baby!

Welcome to PorMMo!

Raise your hand if the following statement applies to you:
"I want to make games, but I can't draw or animate for squat."

People with your hands raised, I have good news for you. PorMMo, the Poor Man's Motion Capture, is (almost) here to help!

With our software, you will be able to make animated sprites from simple green-screen footage. (See the Vision Statement Slideshow for more details)

Our process is fast and inexpensive! Our process will make your games cinematic! Our process is not done yet! But don't worry, come Summer 2013, you will be PorMMo-ing it up!
